In light of our Moliets surf camp opening its doors in less than 2 months, here are 10 reasons why you should come and learn to surf with us this summer!

1 | Mega fun atmosphere.

We are famous for our epic parties in Moliets, every night there is a different entertainment taking place in our surf camp, from ping pong tournaments to live music, surf movie nights, jam sessions on the beach, we do not disappoint.

Our aim every summer is to put a big smile on all our surf camp guests’ faces. And we usually succeed. We ask our surf campers for feedback after each week and we score an average of 9 out of 10 for camp vibes. We don’t turn our noses up at that!

2 | The surf is epic.

Moliets is a great place to surf whether you are a total beginner or you are looking to improve your surf skills. Between April and October, the coastline around Moliets-Plage is hit by consistent summer swells that offer great surfing conditions for both beginner and intermediate surfers.

The beach in Moliets is sheer endless and, on any stage of the tide, a simple walk up or down the beach will provide a large variety of waves suited to any ability level. This means we can find good waves for all surf levels nearly every day over the summer. 

3 | A trip across to Spain.

Though not a compulsory part of your surf holiday stay, it is something we definitely recommend you do. Each week, we take our surf campers to spend the afternoon and evening in the beautiful and historic city of San Sebastian just across the boarder to Spain to enjoy all that it has to offer. And there is plenty of it, believe us! It is one of the fave city’s of Star Surf Camps founder Joe. We’ll show you around the cobbled streets before, watch the sunset above the clouds (not saying where!), then hit the tapas bars and take you out out. So worth it.

4 | The weather is magnifique.

Our Moliets surf camp welcomes endless days of sunshine every year. With temperatures between 28 – 32 degrees celsius most days you will be sure to get that golden summer glow. If being in the sun all day isn’t your thing, our surf camp is pitched amongst the beautiful French pine forest which offers plenty of shady spots perfect for an afternoon siesta.

5 | And so’s the food.

We offer a full range of food here at our surf camp and cater for vegan and vegetarians as well as meat-eaters. All our food is healthy and prepared fresh on-site. If you do feel like treating yourself there are lots of super tasty restaurants in the town that offer a range of food from seafood, pizza, burgers and much more.

6 | We have the best Yoga place in town.

Our beautiful yoga deck is located in our Moliets Deluxe camp, made from bamboo and other natural materials, our yoga deck is true tranquillity. The perfect place to stretch before your morning surf or to read a book in the afternoon.

7 | Find a ying to your yang.

Our surf camp in Moliets is a great place to either come with existing friends or as a solo traveller and make new friends. This surf camp has a huge social atmosphere to it so whether you are looking to or not you will 100% come away with new friends.

8 | Everyone is welcome at Star Surf Camps ✨🌎

One of our proudest achievements of all our surf camps, but especially Moliets is the international audience and guest list. We welcome guests from all over the world every year to our surf camp and love seeing all nationalities mix and learn from each other. 

In the summer pre-Covid, our surf camp guests and staff came from 23 countries with 29 different nationalities. As they say, the more the merrier! 

9 | Explore the local area.

There is more to Moliets than just surf. Moliets-Plage offers a variety of bars and restaurants for you to visit as well as some awesome cafes for that all-important caffeine hit. If however, you are looking to venture further afield there are some great bike rental shops in the town where you can rent a bike for the afternoon and either cycle down the coast or exploring the pine forests.

10 | The entertainment is shaping up to be A-MAZ-ING!

We run two entertainment schedules in Moliets which we adjust to the weather and our guests’ preferences. If you’re up for a relaxed evening after an active and sunny day on the beach, join us in out Moliets Deluxe camp for a sunset Yoga session on the beach or in the forest, our traditional French wine & cheese night, an outdoor surf camp movie night or a sunset session on the beach with music, drinks and volleyball.

If you’re feeling more energetic, our surf camp in Moliets offers more fantastic opportunities to mix and mingle with fellow surf holidaymakers for live music events and open mic nights, flunky ball, fancy dress parties, nights out on the town in Moliets’ local bars and more.
