The tour stops 11 times at many different world famous surfspots to see how the best of the best are doing in waves such as in Hawaii, Tahiti, but also France, Portugal, Brazil or South Africa. Every year, a few waves are kicked out and new spots are taken in.   But how to find out what surfer is good at what conditions? In order to get emotionally more involved and to get a better understanding of how everything works, you and your friends can create a club at the manager game www.fantasysurfer.com. But how does it work? Well, each of you has a budget of $50,000,000 at your disposal and can buy up to 8 professional surfers. Of course, the „good“ ones are more expensive and usually you can only buy more or less two of the most expensive surfers, if you want to fill up all 8 spots (which you don’t have to do). If you buy, let’s say Kelly Slater for $10,000,000 before an event, and he does well and wins the thing, his value will raise up to $11,000,000 for the next event. However, you can still keep him for $10,000,000 on your team. Sooner or later, you will figure out who is your favourite surfer and you will watch each of his heats. This way, you will get to know the surfing style of each surfer, as well as the conditions of each country and surfspot. Also, you will automatically learn all the terms of the surfing world, such as „a smooth cutback, a huge hack, going vertical, insane layback, or alley-oop“, because you see the pros perform them live. I can’t even help it but to read those expressions in the voice of the ASP Worldtour commentators. Anyways, it is a lot of fun to have a little surf league and to compete against your friends.
