Barrels of laughter to barrels of waves, Summer 2018 you have been epic! From the start of the season pitching hundreds of tents and preparing ourselves for the season ahead, to packing down the surf camp and reminiscing over one of the best summers yet.

University groups, families, friends and solo travelers, each week brought new faces full of life and ready to experience the surfing lifestyle. From beginners catching their first waves to even seasoned surfers wiping out, we have surfed some pretty amazing waves.

Moliets celebrated the summer with open mic nights, dined on cheese and wine and, of course, the most anticipated night of the week… the ping pong tournament. Full of tapas and loaded with Sangria, the weekly Moliets trip took us over the border to explore the beautiful city of San Sebastiàn to watch the stunning Spanish sunsets and dance the night away.

A little further South, nestled in the beautiful Oyambre Nature Reserve,  we spent the summer exploring the Bay of Biscay on paddle board adventures, practised yoga on the beach and surfed until the sun set.

A special mention to all of our amazing surf camp guests who made for an unforgettable summer and for sharing the waves with us. We hope to see you back in the water very soon!

A massive THANK YOU also to this year’s Star Surf Camps team! To the surf instructors who are out in the water teaching everyday, our awesome teamers for putting together some incredible food as well as entertaining us all and, last but not least, to the legends in the Star Surf Camps office for making sure we all have the best possible surf trip!

And finally, thank you, France and Spain for hosting our Star Surf Camps family for the 8th year in a row!

However, we aren’t ready to hang up our wetsuits and pack away our surfboards just yet. Next stop, Fuerteventura and Morocco for endless waves and winter sunshine. Catch you all in the water soon…
