I never thought that I would be able to surf. However, thanks to Star Surf Camps, I had to change my mind.
Last summer my family and I were thinking about what to do during summer holidays. We were looking for something different to do and, surfing the internet, we found Star Surf Camps’ website. We found it really interesting and well organised therefore we decided to book our first surf holiday.
We were torn between Spain and France, both are absolutely amazing and both have truly astounding beaches and there is always sunshine. However the school is located in Spain, in Fuerteventura exactly, therefore we went there, because none of us was able to surf.
Once we arrived in El Cotillo on the Northwest coast of Fuerteventura, we were really amazed. The area was even better than we believed! We stayed in an amazing beach-front apartment and there were also an amazing pool from where we could admire the white beaches and amazing waves. To make this experience even more wonderful was the location of the Star Surf School. In fact it is within easy walking distance from our apartment and lessons included all surf equipment, transport and snacks on the beach therefore we didn’t have to worry about anything! Moreover they were truly funny: our surf instructor, Michele, was very experienced and the most important thing, he was Italian! It was really useful because I can’t say a word in Spanish and without him I believe it would be quite difficult! During the week we didn’t enjoy only surfing but lots of other activities. In fact we went to play mini golf courses, hired bikes and also went to a water park in Corralejo.
I really liked El Cotillo too. There are nice Spanish restaurants and and it’s not far from Corralejo where my sister and I went to an Irish Pub and a Karaoke Bar at night and met lots of new people!
The last day we decided to greet the island with an appropriate goodbye: We went on a hike to the volcano close to our apartments and could look over a beautiful country and all the way to Lanzarote!
I think it was my best holiday ever and I have to thank all the Star Surf Camps staff, who contributed to make it such an unforgettable experience.
