You may have heard about our fantastic opportunity to win surf holidays for life by fundraising for one of our favourite charities, Surfers Against Sewage SAS, and it’s great to see so many people jumping on board and getting involved!
Most people like to spend their summer holidays relaxing and enjoying the surf but for others, they have spent their summer taking on some epic challenges all in the name of charity (and a bit of competition!).
July was a busy month for fundraising and it saw Andy cycling 75 miles and surfing as many beaches as possible while raising a massive £1095.50! Darryn also paddled 11km down the river Welland on a surfboard and raised £550.

Surfer’s Against Sewage rep Cal has got well underway on her Paddle Against Plastic expedition and has also raised a huge amount of £752.57, so far! So is well on her way to catching up with Andy’s total! Unfortunately Cal’s Paddle Against Plastic expedition proved exactly why raising money and support Surfer’s Against Sewage is so important. The picture below shows a very sad Cal at a secluded cove, which is only accessible by water, littered with 78 single use plastic bottles!
Since our last update some new fundraisers have also joined the competition and have plans over the next couple of months to include a charity sky dive, a walk of the San Sebastian trail and even a charity disco night! Libby is also well underway with her training for her 10km river swim in September. All very exciting and there is still time for you to get involved too, the competition is running until 31st October 2016. So here is a little reminder of what’s up for grabs and how to get involved, because why wouldn’t you want to?
