No doubt, we love hosting families for their surf holidays. Why? Because more often than not, a simple family vacation can turn into an amazing adventure that not only leads to making new friends but to actually expanding your family.

Dosia and Tomek, bless them, really only booked a surf camp holiday because their son,   Miki (16), and his friends, Constantine (17) , wanted to go. But by the end of the first week, Dad Tomek signed up for surf lessons and, at the end of their second week, he had caught up with the youngsters’  skills.  Here’s what they left us with before they went home. Thanks, guys, we’re really touched!

With advice from our son Miki (16) and his best friend Constantine (17) we booked a Star Surf vacation for 2 weeks, of course with surfing lessons but only for the two boys :) However during the first week the situation was changed and my husband Tomek got motivated and encouraged by Rich, the boys and some of the camp participants he decided to start surfing, learning from scratch.

He bought a wetsuit and signed up for surfing lessons but let’s start from the beginning…..

Right from the first minute we loved it and it lasted till the very last one. Very friendly welcome by one of the Teamers ‘cute’ Becky, always smiling and happy. Very healthy and delicious food thanks to Chef Ryan and Assistant Chef Lucy. Always helpful Teamers made our stay and our warm thanks goes especially to Laetitia who spreads her positive energy all over.

Having no doubts that all of this would not be possible without Bianca the Camp Manager, amazing personality, taking care of everyone and everything. I am impressed about her way of dealing with “customers” and having everything under control. You can really see the team spirit as well (team together / team apart). There are no impossible things for Bianca, always finding solutions. I don’t have a sister but if I would I wish to have one like Bianca… BIG THANK YOU! We will really miss you.

There are so many other things that could be written but they will for sure not express all our feelings and happiness we experienced here at Carcans Surf Camp.

Professional surfing teacher team Emily, Rich and Massimo did their job extremely well. Having a lot of patients and encouraging people to practice hard on one hand while having a lot of fun on the other one. I must really say this is not an easy job, not everyone is able to do it but they are a perfect fit! You can be really proud of them. Also surfing assistants deserve an appreciative word particularly Douglas who is able to deal with demanding people, he is a very responsible guy. I will never forget the pictures of him taking care of Damien – one of the camp participants.

I also found a lot of time for myself, my soul and body joining the yoga lessons with the very original and special personality – Ellie – Namaste :)

And the last but not least Sophie – the DOG, Star Surf would be much ‘different without her’ the mascot of all of us.
