Surfing Holidays in the beautiful North of Spain

Situated within the rolling hills of Oyambre National Park, our surf camp close to Santander in the North of Spain is perfect for those looking for a mix of outdoor fun, surf and relaxation. Our family-friendly surf camp is ideal for people of all ages. We welcome small and larger groups, solo travellers, couples and families every year. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, this surf camp is for you.

Here in northern Spain, we focus on surfing, SUP-ing and Yoga. With entertainment and activities provided daily, there is plenty going on in our Spanish surf camp to fill your days: Warm weather, good food, great surf and even greater company. What’s not to love?!

Camping Rodero, our Campsite

Our surf camp is part of a larger campsite which also hosts other surf camps and holidaymakers. The campsite facilities include a restaurant and Café with WiFi, kiosk, swimming pool, basketball/ multisport court and several shower blocks. Facilities in our surf camp include a shaded eating and entertainment area, a raised, covered chill area with cushions that turns into an outdoor cinema, hammocks, a surfboard and wetsuit storage area as well as a large yoga deck that overlooks the mountains.

The Beach, Playa de Oyambre

Our local surf beach is a short, ten-minute walk from our surf camp. During the summer months, the northern Spanish coastline offers great wave conditions for surf beginners and intermediate surfers alike. Hit by consistent summer swells that carry gentle rolling waves, Oyambre Beach is ideal for first-time surfers and everyone wanting to improve their existing surf skills. 

Learn to surf in great beginner waves

With our most popular surf holiday packages here in Oyambre, our surf camp guests receive a 6 session surf course. It includes 5 sessions of surfing (90 minutes each) the gentle waves of Playa de Oyambre, the beach just outside the surf camp, as well 1 sessions of surf theory (also 90 minutes) in the surf camp, teaching you about water safety, rip currents and the intricacies of Spanish beach breaks. 

Relaxed & Social Entertainment for All Ages

We’ll start your surf camp week in Oyambre with a Welcome Evening. After dinner, our surf camp team staff will introduce themselves and give you a short introduction to the surf camp and your surf holiday week ahead. Afterwards we’ll serve you some well-deserved welcome Sangrias and you get to meet your fellow surf campers over games.

On your second evening after a dinner away from the surf camp, we all come together for our traditional Wine & Cheese night. Sample some local wines and cheeses in good company with music, it doesn’t get better than this.

On Monday evenings after dinner in the surf camp we all head out to one of our favourite spots, a restaurant/bar on the cliff tops overlooking the sea – the perfect place to enjoy some drinks and watch the sunset. If it’s a cloudy evening, we get our guitars and instruments out for a jam session in the surf camp. A shout out to all musicians and singers among our surf camp guests: bring your instruments, we’d love to hear you play and jam with us!

Every Tuesday, we organise a trip to Bilbao. You can find more information on this day trip away from the surf camp in our “Activity”-section. All guests staying behind can join us in our outdoor cinema for a surf movie night with popcorn.

After dinner on Wednesdays, we get together for some drinks in the surf camp and you get to test your trivia knowledge during our Pub Quiz which is always great fun. Everyone who fancies a boogie and night out afterward can come along to ‘Fiesta Fiesta’, Comillas’ liveliest bar.

On Thursday evenings, we challenge our surf camp guests to take on our team: show us your ping pong skills in our surf camp tournament or games at the beach.

We celebrate your last night in the surf camp with our surf award ceremony. After dinner, our surf team give out the week’s highly desired “Best Wave” and “Best Wipeout” award. We see out the night with music and drinks.

Although there’s plenty going on in the surf camp, we want to make sure you’ll also get time to yourself to relax and unwind. We’ve got hammocks dotted around the surf camp and a shaded chill area with cushions to relax in. Water, tees and coffees are available on the main deck throughout the day.

Surfing Holidays in the sunny Southwest France

Our Moliets surf camp is ideal for everyone aged between 18 – 35 (and those young at heart) who is looking for a fun-filled surf holiday week with hot summer days and long party nights. It’s simply ideal for those wanting to surf, eat, sleep, have a great time and repeat. With live music nights, fancy dress parties, (free) wine and cheese evenings and a bar serving awesome summer cocktails, there is never a dull minute.

In our surf camp here in Moliets we host small and large groups of friends, couples and solo travellers. In true Star Surf Camps’ fashion, our surf camp team live onsite together with our surf holiday guests. Star Surf Camps are the only international surf camp in Moliets and we are proud to host surfers and surf holiday makers from all over the world.

Our surf camp here in Moliets-Plage is part of a larger campsite which also hosts other surf camps and holiday makers. The campsite is ***-rated, has a reception, parking, playgrounds, sports courts and multiple shower and toilet blocks. Our surf camp is made up of shaded eating and entertainment areas, raised chill-out platforms, a large skate ramp, cool three-tier outdoor cinema, tiki bar, hammocks and a large covered yoga deck.

Plage de Moliets, our local surf beach, is a short, ten-minute walk from our campsite. During the summer months, the coastline around the Southwest of France offers great wave conditions for beginner surfers and intermediate surfers alike. Hit by consistent summer swells, Moliets-Plage is ideal for first-time surfers and everyone wanting to improve their existing surf skills. And with our qualified team of international surf instructors, you can be sure to be in good hands and learning from the best.

We’ve got a busy surf holiday week planned for you here in Moliets with live music events and open mic nights, our legendary Pub Quiz, a fancy-dress flunky ball tournament, a traditional French wine & cheese eve, a starlit outdoor surf movie night, pub crawls in Moliets’ local bars and many, many other fantastic opportunities to mix and mingle with other surfers in- and outside the surf camp. Then there’s beach games, volleyball and table tennis tournaments or skate competitions. Nestled into a more secluded part on the campsite, our Moliets Deluxe camp is beautifully decorated and known for its relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. With raised wooden beds, lighting and electricity in each of the tents, hammocks dotted around the surf camp and a beautiful yoga deck, this surf camp is perfect for those looking for a relaxed surfing holiday with a focus on surfing, yoga and chilled evening entertainment.

Add up to 10 Yoga session to all our holiday packages in our Deluxe surf camp in Moliets and join us for a revitalising morning practise or for an evening session on the beach at sunset. Yoga is perfect for those wanting to wake themselves up before an active day in and around the surf camp or to stretch after a fun-filled day in the waves. Nested into a quieter and more secluded spot on the campsite, our Moliets surf & yoga camp is made up of bell and tipi tents and a large covered yoga platform. The camp also includes a large shaded seating area for eating and entertaining, a tiki bar, a sunbathing deck. an outdoor cinema and plenty of fairy lights.

Entertainment in our surf & yoga camp

We run two entertainment schedules which we adjust to the weather and our guests’ preferences. If you’re up for a relaxed evening after an active and sunny day on the beach, join us for a sunset Yoga session on the beach or in the forest, our traditional French wine & cheese night, an outdoor surf camp movie night or a sunset session on the beach with music, drinks and volleyball.

If you’re feeling more energetic, our surf camp across the campsite offers more fantastic opportunities to mix and mingle with fellow surf holidaymakers for live music events and open mic nights, flunky ball, fancy dress parties, nights out on the town in Moliets’ local bars and more.
