Our Surf Apartments

Your Home Away From Home during your Surfing Holidays!

 

In our beautiful, modern self-catering surf apartments, you’ll find all the comforts of a home in your chosen surf holiday destination. All our surf apartments have a fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer, coffee machine and oven, an eating and lounge area, a private balcony or roof top terrace and free Wi-Fi. We also provide you with bed linen and bathroom towels. 

Our surf apartments have access to a large pool area with a big swimming pool overlooking the beach, a hot tub and a kid’s pool and the corresponding outdoor shower facilities and terrace with sun loungers. The apartment’s car park, surfboard storage and laundry facilities are also available for all our surf holiday guests to use free of charge.

The beach is right in front of our surf apartments, and within walking distance are our Star Surf School and El Cotillo’s town centre with numerous bars, restaurants, cafés and supermarkets.

 

Check in time for our surf apartments is from 15:00 o’clock. Should you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your bags at our surf school and explore El Cotillo until check-in.

All our partners are located across the beautiful fishing town of El Cotillo, just a stone throw away from our surf school. We are very proud to have partners all over El Cotillo, as it not only benefits you, but is another wonderful way to contribute to the local economy of Fuerteventura whilst on surfing holidays.

You will have the choice of a studio, 2- or 3-bedroom apartments with access to a swimming pool and gorgeous sea views. This accommodation offers a fantastic alternative to our surf apartments where you can be sure you will be in good hands and have a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Star Surf Camps Surf Lessons Fuerteventura

Learn to Surf With Star Surf Schools on your Fuerteventura surfing holidays!

Our Star Surf School is within easy walking distance from your surf apartment, and great beaches for surfers of all levels are only a short car ride away. Star Surf is renowned for its fun, professional and enthusiastic approach to teaching surfing which gets you up on that board in no time. Our international team of professional instructors doesn’t simply watch you from the beach, but gets in the water with you to help you catch the best waves.

On Fuerteventura, we run two surf sessions per day, one for beginners and one for intermediate surfers. All our surf courses are 180 minutes of actual surf lesson time on the beach and in the water. Of course, we also provide the transport to each surf lessons’ surf spot before and after your 3 hours in the water.

Surf lessons also include all surf equipment (surfboard, wetsuit and leash) and a little snack on the beach. The maximum group size for each lesson is eight surfers for one to two instructors. All our surf instructors are experienced, fully licensed and qualified and also have a lifeguard qualification.

Surf Deluxe Upgrade

What’s included in our surf packages?

All our surf packages for our surf apartments include 3 surf lessons à 180 minutes per surf holiday week. If you want to spend more time in the water, simply upgrade to our Surf Deluxe option. With our Surf Deluxe Upgrade, you receive a total of 5 surf lessons per surf holiday week, each lasting 180 minutes. Additionally, you can hire all our surf equipment for free outside your surf lessons. You can choose the upgrade with your surf holiday booking or upon arrival in our surf apartments.

Do you want to relax and unwind after a long day of surfing? Yoga has swept surfers all over the world off their feet with all professional surfers using it to help improve their flexibility, core strength and surfing performance. So, if after a long day surfing you feel like you could do with some stretching, Yoga is a fantastic way to improve your flexibility and to strengthen your body.

Our enthusiastic and professional Yoga instructors make their sessions fun and accessible to ‘Yogis’ of all levels. Join us for an inspiring sunset course and see the positive effects for yourself and for your body!

Brand-new Yoga Studio

We are delighted to welcome you to our new Yoga Studio in El Cotillo.

 

This year, we have built our very own yoga studio to offer Yoga lessons, personal training and surf specific fitness classes to our guests. Our studio is located 100 meters away from the beach and right between our self catering apartments and our surf school. Suitable for beginners  as well as experienced ‘Yogis’, we offer a range of styles including Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Ashtaga Yoga , Hatha Yoga and Acroyoga.

So, why not treat yourself to one of our Yoga Deluxe Upgrades when on surf holidays to receive some extra vitalisation for your body and mind!

Marine Adventures for the all Ages

 

Originated in Hawaii as an offshoot of surfing, Stand Up Paddle boarding, or SUP, has become more and more popular. With the most first-time participants than any other outdoor sporting activity in 2013, SUP is a relaxing and fun activity, perfect for family days out, individual adventures or to keep fit when the waves are flat.

We offer a range of SUP services including equipment hire and guided excursions. With no age or ability limitations, how about you join us in venturing out along the beautiful lagoons of the north, admiring the marine life as you glide over the turquoise waters? And if you’re on a tight schedule and can’t join our groups, we’re flexible and happy to arrange a private trip that suits your time and needs. Or you want to make SUP your own little adventure? Also no problem, as we rent out our equipment for you to explore and go on sunset trips for the ultimate relaxing end of your day in the sun.

Where To Eat in El Cotillo?

In El Cotillo, Fuerteventura’s culinary land of plenty, you almost cannot go wrong with your choice of restaurant or bar!

To help you find your favourites, here are some of ours! You’d like something healthy, fresh and delicious before your paddle in the morning? How about one of Ocean Deli’s A-MAZ-ING fruit or veggie smoothies or a homemade almond or raspberry croissant from El Goloso, the delightful French bakery just around the corner from our apartments? They’re simply delicious!

With the sun out during the day, there’s certainly no better place than Bar Central for a hearty, or should we say ‘fishy’, lunch. All of the little restaurant’s seating is out in the street with excellent views over the former harbour and bay. And, what’s most important: the food is fresh, the portions are large and la cuenta is affordable! The same accounts for Bagus Beach Bar, the little bar just opposite our apartments, famous among locals and tourists alike for its excellent value on burgers, beers and other bebidas alcoholicas.

And, whether you’re planning on a family, group or romantic dinner out, be sure to stop by La Capitana and La Vaca Azul. Enjoy the sunset or watch the waves crash into the rocky seafront while indulging in the restaurants’ great varieties of local fish, meats and wines. It hardly gets better!

What’s In The Area?

Discover Fuerteventura’s Beautiful North on your Surfing Holidays!

Fuerteventura’s northern part offers you a great variety of activities during your surfing holidays. So, if you’d ever want to get out of El Cotillo, we have a few suggestions for you:

Lajares and La Oliva, for example, are only a short car drive or bus ride away from El Cotillo. The landscape around the rustic villages enchants its visitors with striking stone-built windmills, and with their traditional Canarian shops, we suggest you come here to indulge in some delicious crepes, for a pair of famous Spanish shoes or to visit the little art galleries or handcrafted jewellery, surf and clothes shops.

Only 21km east of El Cotillo, the former fishing village of Corralejo is today’s largest holiday resort on Fuerteventura. Take a stroll through the town’s lively calle comercial before enjoying a refreshing cocktail on the seafront with breath-taking views of the coast and harbour. With several mini golf courses, bike, motorbike and quad-bike hires around town and a water park just up the hill of the centre, Corralejo has something in store for all of us. And if the day trip hasn’t tired you out, the city’s night life with traditional Irish or English Pubs, Karaoke or Sports Bars, night clubs and live music venues sure helps you dance the night away.

Or how about an escape to an uninhabited and wild world? Only two kilometres off the coast of Corralejo you can see the beautiful and tranquil Isla de los Lobos. A Nature Reserve, the island’s wildlife is unparalleled anywhere else in the world. If you have a day or even just an afternoon to spare, we suggest you hop on a boat in Corralejo, enjoy the stunning views back on Fuerteventura for the short ten-minute journey to then lay back and relax on Lobos’ paradisiacal white beaches ideal for snorkelling in shallow turquoise waters. And for all water-sports enthusiasts, the waves here are truly world class!

How to Get to Our Star Surf Camps’ Surf Holiday Apartments

 

… By airport shuttle

Coming to our surf apartments is easiest and most comfortable by airport shuttle. We can help you arrange an airport transfer from Puerto del Rosario. Simply get in touch with one of our surf travel experts!

… By car

If you’re thinking about hiring a car, you can find us simply by heading north when leaving the airport and following signs to La Oliva, then signs to El Cotillo.

… By public transport

Take bus No.3 from the airport to Puerto del Rosario, bus No.6 to Corralejo and then bus No.8 to El Cotillo, which you exit at the main stop. Again, let us know your flight times in advance so we can meet you there. Three times a day, there’s a bus going directly from Puerto del Rosario to El Cotillo.

Taxis from the airport to our apartments are around 40€.
