Our Party & Surf Camp is situated at Moliets Plage on the south west coast of France close to Hossegor, the Basque country and northern Spain.

Expect your summer holiday to be exciting: surf all day, party all night – that’s the Moliets motto. The camp is made up of comfortable tents, a shaded eating area, the brand new outdoor cinema entertainment, several chill areas where you can hang out with your friends or make new ones, hammocks and sun loungers, the infamous party tent and also the surf equipment and storage tents. All you need to bring is a big smile, a sleeping bag, pillow, plate and cutlery and your optional fancy dress for our flunky ball tournament (if you don’t know what this is, think bowling in teams mixed with your favourite drinking game!)

All our packages include Surf lessons (5x 120 minutes), all surf equipment in- and outside the lessons and comfortable tent accommodation with airbed.

Surfing & Accommodation included

All surf packages include the surf lessons (5x 120 minutes), surf equipment in- and outside the lessons, a comfortable shared tent accommodation with airbed and the usage of all the camp equipment like bikes, table tennis, balance boards, longboards and many more. Prices start from 199 Euro for a week of surfing fun. Our weeks always start from Saturday – Saturday, so you will get a full 8 days at the campsite.

Why don’t you just stay 2 weeks in the camps: this will improve your surfing skills and the feeling of being on holidays will just become more intense.

Included in price

Included in the surf & stay package is the accommodation in a shared tent with 2 other guests. Each person has its own separate, lockable sleeping compartment within a large six-man tent. All compartments have a high-quality and comfortable airbed. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag.

Upgrade to private Couples Tents –  €15 per person/week

You want to have more privacy? Book our Couples Tents for €15 pp/week. Couples Tents are large 4-man-tents with a comfortable, double airbed and a large storage compartment in front of the tent. This guarantees a maximum of privacy.

Included in the surf package: 10 hours of surfing

You will receive 5x 120 minutes of surfing directly at the beach in front of the camp. The maximum group size will be 8 people for 1-2 instructors. We only work with qualified, professional and fully licensed surf instructors that also have a lifeguard qualification. The surfequipment (boards, leashes, wetsuit) is free within the lesson and outside the lesson upon availability.

Spend more time surfing: upgrade to Surf Deluxe

This is 5 extra hours of surf tuition from our expert surf team. Our “Deluxe” surf course is perfect for beginners and intermediates as an optional extra within both our surf camps in France. With an instructor-student ratio of 1-6, more personal time with your instructor and a better focus on improving your surfing whilst staying with us at Star Surf Camps, the Deluxe option is suited to all those that really want to improve as much as possible with us and get the most from their surfing.

Improve your flexibility with Surfers Delight – for 5 hours

It is a fantastic way to stretch & strengthen your body after a long surf day with Yoga. Yoga has taken over the surfing world with all professional surfers using Yoga to help improve their flexibility, core strength and surfing performance.

Our brilliant and professional Yoga instructors make Yoga fun and accessible to all, you do not need to be a professional sportsman or woman to see the positive effects that yoga delivers. Check it out. You can also book the yoga lessons onsite if you are not sure yet.

Included food in your surf week per person/week.

This includes:

• Daily buffet breakfast with tea, coffee, juices, milk, cereals, honey, jam, fresh baguette, cheese, ham and fresh fruit
• Daily picnic lunch packed in your lunchbox and get ready for your day surfing.
• 6 nights a week a healthy evening meal with variations of desserts.

For a little snack during the day we have our onsite shop that’s selling ice creams, snacks, cold drinks, chocolate bars and little treats.

Camp Shuttles from Biarritz and Dax – from €55 return

Transfer timetable for pick-ups on Saturdays (times can vary +/- one hour)

• Biarritz train (pick-up): 09:30, 16:30 
• Dax train (pick-up): 10:00, 14:00, 18:00
• Shuttles leaves the camp to Biarritz: 07:00, 12:00
• Camp to Dax: 09:00, 13:00, 17:00

We run 2 shuttles daily only on Saturdays to and from Biarritz airport/train station and Dax train station. Times vary but are scheduled each week to accommodate our guests arrival and departure times as best as possible.

Get the Star Bus from major German cities – for €165

Our German bus partners provide bus transport from most major German cities right to us in Moliets. The bus leaves in Germany on Friday so you will be in the camp on Saturday around lunch time. It leaves the camp the week after on Saturday afternoon. If you would like us to book you a space on the bus let us know you departure location and dates of travel. We will then do the rest! Simply fill in the details in our booking form.

€199 Special in Moliets:

We are now offering limited NO SURF SPECIAL spaces in Moliets for non surfers and guests who don’t want to receive surf lessons with us. This is specifically for those who have their own surfing equipment and want to join our camp for the fun and entertainment but wish to pursue their surfing independently. Perfect for those who already surf but travelling with a partner new to the sport or those with enough experience to surf independently. Price includes accommodation, entertainment and use of camp equipment (excluding surf equipment). This special can only be booked over the phone, call us in our head office.

San Sebastian Trip for only €35 pp/trip

Each week we venture to San Sebastian in the Basque Country in Spain for a day of sightseeing, tapas and a few drinks, finishing the evening with a bar crawl and crazy party before getting the bus back to the surf camp in the early hours of the morning. This is the highlight of the week and highly recommended to anyone visiting Moliets. The trip includes the bus return and guiding around the old town of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, home of a wonderful and rich culture. You can expect amazing partying, incredible scenery, delicious pintxos (tapas) and the famous Star Surf tapas/bar crawl!

Free Surf Photography

Unlike other surf camps we take pictures of your surfing for free. A selection of these photos and videos will be uploaded for you to access online for free when you get home via our Facebook page. We recommend bringing your own USB stick should you want all of the footage from your instructor as we can only upload a small selection each week of the best pictures.

Pure Fun, Excitement, Entertainment & Surf

Have fun in numerous bars and clubs that are in walking distance to the camp until late night – for those of you who wish to party into the early hours. There are also restaurants, shops and amusements along the promenade of the beach. The world famous beach breaks provide some of the best waves in the world and the sand bottomed waves allow for a safe and comfortable learning experience.

You still want more entertainment? No problem: we have bikes and sports equipment in the camp that are free to use as well. A weekly entertainment is often arranged by our brilliant and fun-loving, international camp team to make sure you have an exciting and enjoyable surf holiday.

The Star Surf Camp is in a perfect location within the Moliets campsite: there is plenty of space for games, you can shelter from the hot summer sun as there are enough areas to sunbathe or read a book in the sun throughout the day. Moliets is unique as one of the busiest and most popular surfing towns for European surfers. This means a great atmosphere in and around the camp, on the beach and in the water. Come to our Moliets surfcamp if you want to party, meet like minded travellers and surf. Accommodation:
We recommend bringing your own sleeping bag/sheets, pillow and flashlight. All our tents are equipped with comfortable, high quality airbeds.

Food packages:
All meals are eaten communally – this forms one of the highlights of the trip and is a great time to sit down and meet new people. Once a week our chef has an evening off, breakfast and lunch is still provided but in the evening we are eating and partying in San Sebastian. There is also a large BBQ at the camp, guests are welcome to use if they wish to cook themselves.

Deluxe Surfing:
We schedule the lessons to maximize the learning potential and surfing experience. Usually as an extra 1 hour session each day in the mornings or evenings when there are less crowds so you get more waves, more photos of you surfing and more personal tuition to help meet your surfing goals. Camp Shuttles:
We highly encourage all guests travelling to our camps to look into car sharing or car hire in order to reduce waiting times and allow you to explore the wonderful areas around our camps. We even have a new Star Surf Camps Facebook Car Sharing Group dedicated to car sharing.

Flights to Biarritz:
Please make sure that you print your boarding passes before you come to the camps. There is no printer available at the campsite.

SURFING LESSONS

Star Surf lessons are fun, friendly, safe and taught by experts. All our coaches are qualified surf instructors and lifeguards, chosen for their individual surfing ability, teaching experience and professionalism. We only employ instructors with extensive travelling, teaching and coaching experience and believe the quality of our surfing lessons sets us apart from other surf camps.

Our instructors are in the water with you, always helping you into the best waves of your life and not simply observing from the beach. We enforce a ratio of one instructor per eight students and employ an assistant for each instructor for extra safety, effectively giving a 2-8 ratio of teaching staff to students for most lessons. Your instructor and assistant will be assigned to your group for the duration of your stay meaning each day you can achieve personal targets discussed with your instructor. Your surf instructors are some of the worlds best professional surfers, including past world champions, current professionals and travelling surfers from around the world.

Our surfing lessons last 2 hours, and you receive a minimum of 5 lessons each week totalling 10 hours. The majority of surf camps advertise many more lessons but if you read carefully each “lesson” is only 45 minutes with most teaching for 1.5 hours 5 days a week meaning a total of 7.5 hours. With Star Surf Camps you receive 10 hours minimum with the option of upgrading to the deluxe course for an additional 5 hours each week. ALL SURF EQUIPMENT IS FREE TO USE AND INCLUDED IN THE PRICE so you can practice as much as you like in your free time. Our instructors are passionate about surfing and sharing this passion with you, their enthusiasm is contagious. This is why you are sure to spend more time surfing with us then any other surf camp!

Surf & Chill

Our ‘Basic’ package allows for 10 hours of lessons, in which you can expect to gain an understanding of the ocean environment and safe surfing along with 8 hours of valuable water time. The “Basic” package allows you 10 hours of lesson time but is not only for beginners. If you want to improve on existing experience, but also want some free time to yourself, simply let us know when booking your previous level of surfing experience and if you wish to book the ‘Basic’ beginner or improver course.

Deluxe Surf

The “Deluxe” package is the best way to improve your surfing ability and understanding in a limited amount of time, we run “Deluxe” courses for beginners and improvers. Students receive a total of 15 hours of lessons, this is a 2 hour surf lesson each day with an extra 5 hours coaching throughout the week. The extra coaching sessions cover surf theory, oceanography, surf equipment design along with extra sunrise and sunset surfs and extra water time.
