Here at Star Surf Camps, we love springtime! It is the time of year where the days are getting longer and milder, you actively start trying to remember when and where you last saw your summer wetsuit, everyone is busy getting ready for another amazing surf holiday season and there’s just that happy, sunny surfing atmosphere and feeling in the air that you’ll be back in a surf camp in France or Spain very soon. We’re pretty much counting the days until our days are filled again with sunshine and epic surf sessions with all you surf camp legends!

A little taste of this summer surf camp feeling is coming early this year at Lost Cove Festival at Whitesands Bay in Pembrokeshire, South Wales! This amazing surfing festival organized by students for students is the perfect surfing weekend getaway to get you in the energetic, fun-loving surf holiday mood before the start of this year’s surf camp season!

From the 15th – 17th of April, we’ll be surfing all day and partying all night at Whitesands Bay! The days’ surf competitions are judged by an amazing team of former surfing competitors with the head judge being no other than former British surfing captain, Pete Bounds! Headlining the music and fuelling the party atmosphere is no other than A.Skillz, the prolific DJ who tours festivals all around the world and is a master at hyping up the crowds; a real treat for everyone after a day full of surf session fun.

The prize for first place in the surf competition is a whopping £500, £250 for second place and a nifty £100 for third. As a great supporter of young surfing talents, Star Surf Camps are also giving away a free surfing holiday to the winner and runner up of the official surf competition. Our Star Surf Camps Team will, of course, be right in the mix of things, helping run the unofficial surf competition for surf beginners.

Tickets are a very reasonable £55, including the festival entry fees and 3 days of camping. For £70, you get your festival tickets and the upgrade to a bunk bed. More information can be found here.
