Just a few days ago, Belushi’s in Newquay held their charity auction and raised nearly £500 for Surfers Against Sewage. Thanks, guys! The lovely Louise Allen raised £745 when cycling through France, all the way from St-Malo on the English Channel to Nice on the southeast coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea. That’s more than 1000 kilometers – just amazing! And our Tuff Enuff-team met their challenge head-on at Worlds End where they -covered in mud, but all smiles – raised more than £400! Chapeau to these unconquerable ladies!

And we’ve got more fantastic fundraising competitions lined up in the next coming weeks: Jonny Snow will be skateboarding all the way from Essex to Newquay in Cornwall on his 12-day mission for PerfectWaves. Another cyclist, Andy Bramwell, is going to cycling 75 miles along the coast and will be surfing at as many beaches on his way – what a great way to raise funds! And we’ve got more: Hayley and Jon have plans to tackle the famous North Coast 500, a 500 mile-long loop around Scotland’s north coast, Becky Balmer is holding a club night for Surfers Against Sewage, Ollie Friend is running the London Marathon (say what!) and the great Phillip Brown has planned to run the Doone Run again. (Concernign our individual competition, he’s the one to beat with having already raised over £2,500 in 2015!)
But there are not only individuals busy raising funds: currently fundraising are the Royal Holloway University in their H2ONLY-challenge who have raised over £500 to date with still a week to go! Curious about what they’re doing? Have a look here! Cardiff University Surf Sports ditched their surfboards for sneakers last year and took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon, raising more than £550. They’ve told us, they’re keen for more and another big sponsorship event, which all of us are looking forward to. We’ve also got a group of farmers who are pretty keen as well with plans for another auction this summer. Their first one in 2015 raised £700.
