At Star Surf, we promise all our surf holiday costumers will get to experience the real surfing lifestyle when on holiday with us. Managing an international surf camp, I am often asked what the real surfing lifestyle is. For some, it means all-day sunny beach days, surfing perfect waves, hanging out with friends and making new ones from all over the world, and simply having a good time and enjoying life. And I agree, it’s definitely that! But often, it’s even more:
A few weeks ago, our lovely Moliets surf camp manager Katie told us about how surfing always puts a big slime on her face no matter how stressful, annoying, frustrating or demanding her day might have been. Surfing’s simply got something revitalizing, uplifting and refreshing about it which makes it a wonderful sport to do during camp holidays or, for those lucky ones among us, in our daily lives. But there’s still more to the real surfing lifestyle which we got to experience in one of our surf camps in France a few days ago.
Last week, we had some wonderful guests staying with us in our surf camp in Carcans for their surf holidays, Phil and Damien. Damien is Phil’s son, 23 years old and it was his sencond time on a surf holiday with us! During his surf holidays, he was given 1-2-1 care and tuition when in his surf lessons and, what can I say, it was priceless to see how quickly he progressed in the water, how rapidly the bond grew between him and his surf instructor, Douglas, and how it affected all of us in the surf camp. Here’s how Damien’s dad, Phil, describes his surf holiday with us:
