Our surf camp is a 300m² modern Moroccan-style villa that stretches over 3 floors. Our bedrooms offer a relaxing and chilled atmosphere, perfect for a good rest after a long day in the surf. The common areas provide a bright and homey setting, perfect for our family dinners. The surf house is the perfect vibe for those traveling solo, friends or families who wish to socialise and make new friends.
On the third floor, we have a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views over Taghazout Bay where we gather at sunset for dips and a few laughs. The large, panoramic terrace is perfect for practicing Yoga, enjoying sunset drinks and cocktails and for our afternoon high teas and for sharing surf stories.
Morocco has some of the longest waves in the world, most of which are point breaks that break over sand. Long waves are especially good when learning to surf or wanting to improve your surfing. They make balancing and getting a feel for your surfboard easy and are also great for learning to turn your surfboard. And when waves break over sand, you also don’t have to worry too much about wiping out as you won’t crash onto corals or rocks.
We have four surf spots in walking distance from our the surf camp (+/- 15 mins.) and many more surf spots in close driving proximity. To ensure you’ll get to surf the best waves suited to your surf level, our surf holiday guests are divide into group and taken to different surf spots. Our expert surf team is always at hand to answer any questions you might have on your technique or the intricacies of the local point, reef or beach breaks.
Guests booked on our Surf & Yoga packages here in Morocco get the best of both worlds. Your surf holiday package includes 6x 2 hours of surf lessons with all surf equipment and beach transfers, plus a daily Yoga session in the afternoon on our rooftop terrace overlooking Tamraght and the sea!
Every morning, you’re served a healthy breakfast buffet. For your lunch at the beach, we prepare a variation of hot and cold meals. When you come back from a long day surfing, we serve our classic afternoon high tea on our rooftop terrace. In the evenings, our on-site chefs prepare a three-course meal for you. Home-made desserts and a surf movie or live World Surf League events finish off most evenings on a happy note.
When on surf holidays with us in Morocco, go on a trip exploring the lively streets and colourful markets of Agadir, ride a camel through the country’s picturesque landscape that, for centuries, has inspired many artists and soul seekers alike, rock jump into the turquoise waters of the legendary desert oasis of Paradise Valley, try out sand dune surfing and, of course, surf your heart out every day. Your surf camp host here in Morocco is Reda, a professional Moroccan surfer, who has travelled all over the world with the Rip Curl team. Reda has returned home with his partner, Irene, and set up an amazing surf camp to share Morocco’s magical waves with you. Reda will ensure you are in the right spot at the right time when surfing. The Taghazout area has many mind-blowing surf spots but they can change drastically within a few hours, so it’s great to have a local at hand at all times.
