Things to know before heading out to Moliets

Will it be your first time in Moliets with us this summer? Or are you already wondering what to pack?

Have a look at these facts and tips to ensure you’re prepared for what’s to come and to avoid packing errors. Accommodation wise our camp provides you with everything you need, no need to carry a heavy air bed or let alone a tent.

A sleeping bag might be useful, definitely if you’re coming early in the season when it cools down a bit at night. No worries if you forget one though, our helpful team will equip you for a very reasonable price.

Since electricity in the tents isn’t allowed, it could be useful to have a torch. After a big night out you probably won’t care if you end up on top of your mattress or next to it, but for the girls (and male people who care) it might be helpful for choosing the right party outfit before heading to town. If you aren’t familiar with the campsite and it’s labyrinth of little streets, getting straight back to the camp at night could be a more complicated mission than you’d expect. So if orientation isn’t your strength, even without alcohol, we definitely recommend to find a reliable buddy to walk back with. We know a lot of stories about people wandering around the campsite for hours and eventually ending up sleeping somewhere randomly in the forest or even worse, in a strangers’ tent…

Concerning food we ask you to bring your own plate, bowl and cutlery. By the end of the season we might be able to lend you some of the stuff previous guests have left behind but that’s not guaranteed. We do have sponges and soap for you to do your dishes, which we really encourage because if you leave them behind our teamers will be pretty busy cleaning dozens of plates… (or even hundreds if everyone thinks alike). Consequently they won’t have time to hang out with you, which would be a shame since they obviously want to get to know you!

A better and fair way to avoid doing your dishes after dinner is challenging someone to a rock/paper/scissor game, a very common phenomenon in our dining tent after dinner. Be cautious on who you play against, if he or she has been unlucky and has already stacked up some plates you risk spending some time at the sanitary blocks…

Definitely try to avoid that on Monday, because that’s the day when the flunkyball madness starts straight after dinner. If you have a bit of a weak stomach we would advise you not trying to fill you up too much with our amazing food (we know by experience that it may happen). Better leave some space for some fluids. As soon as dinner is finished, it’s fancy dress time, so another very important topic on your packing list!

So besides the regular stuff like a beach towel, toiletry, maybe earplugs and a sleeping mask in case you cherish your sleep, these are the things you need to fit in your suitcase.

Basically, this is all you need to know before heading to our summer camp and having the time of your life there. The rest will be left for you to discover. And now it’s time to get in the Moliets mood!!!
