I absolutely fell in love with Star Surf Camps as a surf holiday guest in their Surf & Yoga Camp in the South of France. I just remember having my mind blown away by the chilled vibes from the dream team working there. The waves were epic, the food was amazing, tipi tent life was super inviting, and sunsets in the pine forest were gorgeous… Honestly a perfect summer surfing holiday! When my two weeks in the surf camp ended, I just knew I had to go back ASAP.
And so I returned.
I absolutely loved working at Star Surf Camps! I helped out here and there, met and entertained surf holiday guests, sang a couple of songs on Wine & Cheese nights and made surfing friends for life…. THE best job in town. I felt at home.
One of the most epic surf trips I’ve done in my life was during the summer season I spent working at Star Surf Camps. After the surf camp season in France was over, a handful of the surf camp team, including me, took to the French roads for mini surf trip along the coast. It was 6 of us all cramped into one of the surf trip crew’s huge red van, packed to the rafters with supplies, surfboards and tents, ready for a surfing adventure! We hit the road with no particular place to go other than South.
Never had I met such open-minded folks in my life. We went down whatever dirt road looked like it might be leading to that hidden, uncrowded and never-surfed-before surf spot. No maps, no phones or signal, just some friends on a surf adventure. I’m never going to forget the time in Star Surf Camps’ surf camp and the amazing people I met. Just good times, with good people, and good waves. I found peace in its simplest form.
Fast forward a couple years from those Wine & Cheese nights singing at Star Surf Camps…
